Full RPR draft released for working group ballot  2/1/2003 12:00:00 AM
The efforts behind Resilient Packet Ring (RPR) technology reached another milestone after a draft version 2.0 of the standard–the first to include a "complete" version of the draft–was released for working group ballot. From there, the draft standard will weave its way through the consensus building process.

Motorola Broadband and Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. said they will begin testing compatibility procedures between Motorola's MediaCipher conditional access (CA) and Pioneer's plasma flat screen high-definition TVs. Revenues drop, losses widen at Terayon  1/31/2003 12:00:00 AM
Broadband equipment supplier Terayon Communication Systems said fourth quarter revenues dropped 68 percent to $25 million, and its net loss widened to $20.5 million (28 cents per share) versus $6.2 million (9 cents per share) in the same year period. For the fiscal year, Terayon reported revenues of $129.
